Norman Oklahoma Real Estate
Norman, Oklahoma is the home of Oklahoma University, providing education in technology and scientific research. Also home of the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History being one of the largest of its kind, and the Fred Jones, Jr. Museum of Art which includes art from Mary Cassatt, Vincent van Gogh, Paul Gauguin, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Camille Pissarro, among others.
Norman's downtown is made up of one that could be in a Christmas calendar, with its mature tress lining the housing facilities. The west side of Norman has seen the most development in the recent years, one of these improvements includes Brookhaven, which contains a wide variety of town homes, apartments, upscale living and fine dining and retail. Being a College town, Norman never really stops growing, OU is always adding new developments which require more housing. In 2006 Norman was rated 40th in the top places to live by Money Magazine, which was also the highest ranking in Oklahoma.
Some people label Norman a suburb of Oklahoma City, others just believe it is its own place entirely. Norman is home to 97,000 residents. The majority of these people are employed at OU and USPS. Being a college town makes the home market in Norman great because Oklahoma University opens a lot of employment doors for people and with all the college students needing places to live, there is always a good demand for housing.
